Erica Pickford

Erica joined Teachers Mutual Bank Limited in June 2021. Erica is an Operations leader with over 25 years of financial experience, in both the banking and insurance sector across South Africa, the United Kingdom and Australia. Before joining Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, Erica was Head of Operations at Genworth Mortgage Insurance responsible for all of Loan Originations, first line assurance and Loss Mitigation and prior worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia where she held the position as Executive Manager. During her career Erica has delivered innovation through process efficiencies, automation and digitisation. Prior to Commonwealth Bank she held various leadership roles in Credit Risk management and was Operations leader at Provident Credit in the United Kingdom. Prior to immigrating to the United Kingdom in 1998, Erica held the position of Operations Manager within ABSA Bank (52% owned by Barclays Bank) in South Africa.

As Chief Operations Officer for Teachers Mutual Bank Limited, Erica is responsible for driving operational efficiencies, and ongoing leadership of the Bank’s Credit Origination teams, Settlements, Third Party Broker Distribution, Payments, Operations and Integrity Solutions and the National Contact Centre.
