Michael Blacker

Michael Blacker has a diverse background in risk management and compliance. Michael worked as the Head of Risk Services at Teachers Mutual Bank Limited since May 2021 and previously held the position of Risk Manager at the same company from November 2018 to May 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Manager Audit, Risk and Compliance at STC from April 2017 to October 2018. Michael also worked as the Chief Risk Officer at Police Bank Ltd. from November 2014 to April 2017, where they were responsible for implementing an Enterprise Risk Framework and reporting to the Board on results. Before joining Police Bank, they worked at Commonwealth Bank for 7 years, serving in various risk and compliance roles, including Executive Risk Advisor, where they established and maintained the Bank's prudential compliance program. Michael started their career at APRA as a Senior Analyst from 2001 to 2006.

Michael Blacker attended the CPA Australia Program from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained their CPA degree in Accounting. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1994, they studied at Charles Sturt University and earned a Bachelor of Business degree with a specialization in Banking and Finance.
