Dr. LaVita V. Johnson

Dr. LaVita V. Johnson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and organizational development. Currently serving as Senior Director of Operations at Teaching Lab since April 2023, Dr. Johnson also operates as The EQ Doctor, focusing on social and emotional intelligence and organizational culture since January 2008. Previous roles include Director of Program Performance Operations at Pace Center for Girls and Specialist in Diversity, Equity, and Social Emotional Learning at Broward County Public Schools. Dr. Johnson's expertise spans instructional coaching, educational consulting, and leadership training, with significant roles held in various educational organizations including the New Teacher Center and Wake County Public School System. Dr. Johnson earned a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration from Concordia University-Portland, along with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Campbell University.
