Melanie Kong is an experienced educator and entrepreneur with a strong background in engineering and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Fellow at Teaching Lab, Melanie is focused on researching innovative AI-driven methods for teaching math to middle school students. Previous roles include Educational Consultant at Things Improbable, working with notable clients such as XQ Institute and Tesla STEM High School, and Co-Founder/CEO of Floop Edu, a company designed to enhance feedback literacy among learners. Melanie has also taught various subjects such as Engineering, Algebra, and STEM Startups at Tesla STEM High School and has played a pivotal role in developing engineering curricula that reached thousands of students nationwide. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and has held internships at Procter & Gamble and Shell Oil Company.
