Rizwaan Malik is an NLP researcher, education entrepreneur, and former math teacher, currently leading research at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. With a focus on utilizing technology to enhance educational experiences, Rizwaan develops specialized LLMs aimed at improving teacher workflows. Rizwaan has previously served as a Data and Education Officer for PEAS, where effective research initiatives supported educational improvements in Sierra Leone, and as an Education Advisor at The Behavioural Insights Team, collaborating with key organizations to enhance online learning engagement. Currently, Rizwaan is also an AI Fellow at Teaching Lab, building Coteach, a curriculum-aligned AI assistant for math teachers, and is pursuing multiple advanced degrees, including at Stanford and the University of Oxford.
