Oliver Gorman

Director of Recruitment at Teaching Nomad

Oliver Gorman has worked in a variety of positions since 2007. Oliver began their career at American Golf as a Senior Sales Advisor, where they provided tailored and personalized advice to clients and worked in a team environment to ensure targets and KPI's were consistently achieved. In 2012, they moved to Corneils School of English as an English Teacher, where they followed curriculum to meet deadlines and expectations of the schools and created a fun and engaging classroom environment. In 2014, they joined Teaching Nomad as the Director of Recruitment, and subsequently held the roles of Senior Personal Placement Consultant & Account Manager, Shanghai Director of Recruitment, and Senior Personal Placement Consultant & Account Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for bringing a personalized and tailored approach to recruitment, conducting interviews, receiving and reviewing applications, and engaging in business development and networking.

Oliver Gorman attended Liverpool John Moores University from 2009 to 2013, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Honors in International Business Studies with Chinese. In 2011 and 2012, they studied Mandarin Chinese at Shanghai University. In 2013, they attended L'Ecole France Langue in Paris 16eme to learn the French language. Oliver also obtained a 150 Hour Master TEFL course from TEFL International in December 2013, as well as a HSK Level 4 in January 2013.
