Carmel O'Brien

Carmel O'Brien is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in revenue management and finance operations. Currently serving as Finance Operations Manager at Teagasc since September 2024, Carmel has previously held senior roles at LearnUpon and Partners in Performance. Prior experience includes positions at Facebook as Revenue Accounting Manager and International Revenue Manager, supporting global operations and local billing launches. Earlier roles involved finance and accounting analysis at Google and experience as an Audit Senior at KPMG, managing audits across various sectors. Carmel began the career as an Office Administrator at Gilmartins Insurance Brokers, and holds a chartered accounting qualification from Chartered Accountants Ireland, along with degrees from University College Dublin and University of Galway.
