Gill Whitehead

Gill Whitehead is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors. Currently serving as Group Director for Online Safety at Ofcom since 2023, Gill previously held the position of Chief Executive of the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum. As Chair of the Rugby World Cup 2025 Board, Gill oversees preparations for the upcoming Women's Rugby World Cup in England. Gill is also a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at the British Olympic Association and Informa plc. Prior experience includes significant positions at Google, Channel 4, and BBC Studios, with a strong background in strategy, analytics, and audience insights. Gill holds an MSc in Social Sciences of the Internet from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Nottingham.
