Eric Valor

Eric Valor serves as the Executive Director of SciOpen Research Group since April 2013, focusing on research into therapies for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). As a Board Member of Hope Now For ALS since 2016, Valor advocates for modern clinical trials to address effective treatment options for ALS. Additionally, Valor acts as a Board Member and Science & Technology Adviser for Team Gleason, providing guidance on communication technology and biomedical science. Previous experience includes roles on the Board of Directors for The ALS Emergency Treatment Fund, where Valor facilitated negotiations for Expanded Access Programs, and various IT operations positions at Mercedes-Benz R&D and DaimlerChrysler Research & Technology, overseeing local IT infrastructures and ensuring network security. Prior experiences also include web management at Lutris Technologies and systems administration at ArrayComm, managing diverse IT environments and supporting corporate users.
