Carmelo C. has extensive experience in web infrastructure and disaster response. Currently serving as the Global Web Infrastructure Lead Engineer at Assurant since May 2018, Carmelo provides leadership and technical expertise in full stack web engineering for global initiatives, leveraging Microsoft O365 and automation technologies. Previous roles at Assurant include Global Web Infrastructure Senior Engineer and Technology Services Manager. In addition, Carmelo is actively involved with Team Rubicon as a Volunteer Disaster Responder and has held various positions focusing on veteran engagement and communication within the organization. Additional volunteer work has been conducted with the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center and the American Cancer Society. Prior to Assurant, Carmelo worked as an IT Systems Management Consultant at United Health Group and held multiple technical roles at Fortis Inc. and other organizations.
