Ed Nicely brings a wealth of experience in emergency response and service coordination, currently serving as the Training Lead for the Virginia Region at the American Red Cross since May 2022. A member of the Chesterfield County Police Department's Auxiliary Unit since May 2008, Ed also contributes as the Planning Lead for Team Rubicon in Richmond/Central Virginia. With a long tenure at Chesterfield County beginning in September 1991, Ed has held roles such as Special Project Manager and Service Coordination Manager. Previously, Ed was the Managing Director at the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs from June 1986 to August 1991. Ed earned a Bachelor of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Concord University between 1979 and 1983.
