Taryn Meads has a strong background in revenue management and hotel operations. Taryn began their career at Fairmont San Jose in 2000 as a Front Office Manager, where they worked until 2007. Taryn then joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as a Director of Revenue Management, where they worked for nearly 9 years. In 2016, they transitioned to a Director of Revenue Management role with Team San Jose, where they currently work.
Taryn Meads completed their high school education at Leland High School from 1991 to 1995. Taryn went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from 1997 to 2000.

Launched in 2004, Team San Jose is an economic development organization and the official Convention and Visitors Bureau for San Jose. Team San Jose also manages the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, South Hall, Parkside Hall, and four historic Theaters which include the San Jose Civic, the California Theatre, the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts and the Montgomery Theater.
