Galia Beer-Gabel

Galia Beer-Gabel is VP of Business Development and Operations of Team8 Fintech. Galia was formerly the Head of Business Development and Sales for PayPal across sub-saharan Africa, Israel and Eastern Europe. Galia has vast experience establishing growth strategies and executing them. She has led product innovation, business development, strategic partnerships and well as headed sales and geo expansion activities for PayPal. With a passion for innovation, Galia introduced and led banks, alternative payment methods and credit card product-driven partnerships. Most notably, Galia was the driving force behind PayPal’s strategic partnership with M-PESA, one of the world’s first and leading mobile wallets, democratizing access to financial services and global ecommerce for Kenyan businesses and consumers. Prior to joining PayPal, Galia worked at Amit, Pollack, Matalon & Co., a leading Israeli law firm, as a commercial lawyer. Galia later founded and led the firm’s business development and legal marketing department. Galia has an MBA from the Israeli Interdisciplinary Center School of Business and an LL.B. from Tel Aviv University in Law and Economics. Galia is also a graduate of an Executive Education Program of the Wharton Business School.
