Ashley Lonie has over 14 years of work experience in the education and learning industry. Ashley began their career in 2006 as a Teacher and Long-term Substitute at Montgomery County Public Schools. In 2012, they joined KeelWorks Foundation as an Instructional Designer. In 2013, they held two positions simultaneously - Instructional Systems Designer at Universal Consulting Services and Director, Academic Product Development and Instructional Designer at Jack Welch Management Institute. In 2016, they joined Strayer University as the Director Learning Design and Technology and Associate Director Learning Experience Design. In 2018, they became the Founder and CEO of Teamed, a staffing agency that specializes in digital learning professionals.

Ashley Lonie earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2003. In 2006, they obtained Teacher Certification K-8 from Maryland. Ashley then earned a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Arizona State University in 2008. In 2011, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2012.
