Athan Papakostas

Athan Papakostas has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Athan began their career at Motorola Mobile Devices in 2004 as a Technical Manager, responsible for the Go-To-Market requirements of launching Motorola 3G devices with Network Operators globally. Athan then joined Three as a Radio Terminals Manager in 2006. In this role, they managed the compliance to GSM and 3GPP standards for candidate devices and provided technical consultation on new business areas. Athan then returned to Motorola in 2007 as a Regional Program Manager, where they managed the acceptance plans for handsets and worked closely with the Program and Business Managers. Papakostas then joined Skype in 2009, initially as a Partner Program Manager, responsible for the roll-out of new products to Mobile Operators. Athan later became a Senior Program Manager, where they developed knowledge of partners' businesses, identified partnership opportunities, and managed product launches. Most recently, they joined TeamViewer in 2015 as a Technical Director in Business Development, leading the technical definition and coordination of deals with global ecosystem partners. In 2022, they were promoted to VP of Technology Partnerships and Ecosystem.

Athan Papakostas pursued a BSc in Electronics and Computer Science from Ethniko Metsovio Polytechnico, completing the degree from 1994 to 2000. Athan then furthered their education, earning an MSc in Data Communications from Kingston University between 2000 and 2001.
