David Wold

David Wold has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. David started their career at Amersham Biosciences, where they worked as a Project Manager, System Engineer, and System Integration Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for system integration and project management for life science instrument development, with a focus on DNA amplification, capillary electrophoresis, microarray spotting, and flatbed gel scanners.

After their time at Amersham Biosciences, David joined Labcyte Inc. as a System Integration Scientist. Here, they contributed to system integration projects before moving on to Tecan.

At Tecan, David held various roles throughout their tenure. David started as a Product Manager, managing the OEM Key Account relationship and products for custom liquid-handling automation platforms. David then transitioned to the role of Senior Product Manager, where they took on additional responsibilities such as life cycle management, product change management, and quality issue and obsolescence communication.

David further progressed in their career at Tecan and became the Customer Operations Manager. In this role, they led a team of product managers responsible for OEM Key Accounts of Tecan's Cavro liquid handling components. David'smain responsibilities included increasing customer satisfaction, supporting the sales team with new customer opportunities, and identifying new market areas for growth through activities like trade show exhibitions.

Later, David became the Senior Director of Marketing, Components at Tecan. In this role, they led a dynamic team responsible for marketing, product management, technical support, and service over a broad portfolio of fluidic component and automation product lines. Their goal was to manage Tecan's Cavro brand portfolio, delight customers, and develop next-generation products to meet liquid-handling automation needs.

Most recently, David has been serving as the Senior Director of Product and Portfolio Management at Tecan. In this position, they are responsible for OEM fluidic components and leads a team including Product Management, Customer Success, and Portfolio Management. They aim to manage Tecan's Cavro brand portfolio, ensure customer satisfaction, and develop products to solve liquid-handling automation needs.

David Wold received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry & Engineering/Physics from Westmont College in 1998. David went on to complete their Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2000.
