Vice President, Partnering Business - Systems at Tecan

Madhu Vasudevamurthy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2003, Madhu worked as a PhD Researcher at Canterbury Health Laboratories, focusing on research in molecular biology. After completing the PhD, Madhu joined the same company as a Research Associate, where they were involved in various research projects such as developing new assays and studying enzyme stabilization.

In 2007, Madhu joined Callaghan Innovation as a Research Scientist, contributing to scientific research initiatives. In 2010, Madhu moved to UC Biomolecular Interaction Centre / Plant and Food Research Ltd., holding the position of Senior Scientist/Project Manager. Here, Madhu managed research projects and collaborated with other organizations.

In 2012, Madhu became a Senior Research and Commercialization Fellow at UC Biomolecular Interaction Centre, further contributing to research and commercialization efforts.

In 2014, Madhu took on the role of a Global Key Account Manager at DST Diagnostische Systeme & Technologien GmbH, responsible for managing key client accounts. Additionally, Madhu had a post-MBA internship at Brandon Capital, assisting investment managers with due diligence and market analysis.

Since 2016, Madhu has been working at Tecan, where they have held various roles. Starting as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Madhu later became the Head of Product Marketing - Consumables, followed by the role of Head OEM Business Americas. Currently, Madhu holds the position of Vice President, Partnering Business - Systems at Tecan, contributing to the company's success in laboratory automation and healthcare innovation.

Madhu Vasudevamurthy's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Bangalore University, which was awarded in the years 1997-2001. Following this, Madhu pursued a PhD in Protein Biotechnology at the University of Canterbury between the years 2002 and 2006. Later, from 2012 to 2014, Madhu attended IE Business School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Healthcare Management. In order to further enhance their expertise, Madhu underwent two executive education programs at Harvard Business School. The first program, focused on Global Strategic Management, took place in 2018, and the second program, centered on Leading Global Businesses, occurred in 2023.
