Deane Roehl serves as the Chief Researcher at Tecgraf/PUC-Rio since January 2006 and is an Associate Professor in Civil Engineering at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, a position held since March 1997. Educational qualifications include a Dr.-Ing. in Civil Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (1989-1994), a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1985-1987), and an Engineer's Degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution (1980-1984).
