Manuel Mates Garcia

Manuel Mates Garcia has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Manuel co-founded and served as the Managing Partner at Big Sur Ventures, an early stage tech investor focusing on innovative companies. Manuel also co-founded and served as a Board Member at Barcelona Tech City.

In addition, Manuel worked at ESADE Business School for 17 years, where they were a part-time professor and designed practical courses in areas such as Organization & Human Resources, Internet & E-Business, and Business Angels and VC investment in Spain. Manuel Mates Garcia pursued their education at various institutes. Manuel enrolled at the Universidad Autónoma de Bellaterra from 1985 to 1990, where they completed their degree in Law and became a Licenciado en Derecho. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, Manuel attended Esade and obtained a full-time MBA degree with a specialization in International Business.
