Mariette Ayala, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the field of education and student support, currently serving as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Tech Goes Home since April 2024. In this role, Mariette is responsible for overseeing digital literacy training materials and ensuring program quality. Prior to this, Mariette held various academic positions, including Adjunct Faculty at Bunker Hill Community College, where principles of sociology were taught, and Director of Urban & Off Campus Support Services at the University of Massachusetts Boston, focusing on program development and fiscal management. Mariette's extensive experience also encompasses roles at New York University as a Research Consultant and at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in various capacities, including Residence Director. Mariette holds a PhD in Urban Education, Leadership, and Policy from UMass Boston, along with a Master's degree in Student Affairs & Higher Education and a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
