Daniel Ryan Johnston

Daniel Ryan Johnston is an accomplished educator and professional with extensive experience in interactive design and technology. Currently serving as faculty in the MFA Interaction Design program at the School of Visual Arts, Daniel also holds a position as a tech teacher at Tech Kids Unlimited and as adjunct faculty in Interactive Media Arts at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Key responsibilities include teaching courses such as "Introduction to Wearables" and mentoring accessibility initiatives within the ITP/IMA community. Previous roles encompass positions at NYU, including graduate assistantships focusing on assistive technology and partnerships with the NYU Ability Project. Prior to academia, Daniel held various positions in production and administration, notably at Rakuten Marketing and as Managing Director of Production at Arcas Productions NFP. Daniel’s educational background includes a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU and an Associate in Applied Science in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
