Jeanette Carlsson

Founder & CEO at Tech Nordic Advocates

Jeanette Carlsson has extensive experience in the technology and startup sectors. In 2015, they founded Tech Nordic Advocates, the largest tech and startup organization in Northern Europe. Their role as CEO involves accelerating inclusive tech startup and sector growth in the Nordic and Baltic regions.

In 2019, Carlsson joined the European Commission as an Expert Advisor for the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator and Women in Tech. Jeanette provides guidance and expertise in these areas.

Prior to their current roles, Carlsson served as CEO of newmedia2.0, where they helped develop digital innovation and transformation strategies for public and private sector clients. Jeanette also has experience as a lecturer in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at The University of Warwick and as a Tech London Advocate.

In addition to their work in the tech industry, Carlsson has held advisory roles on the Loop City Advisory Board and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Jeanette also served as a Business Growth Mentor at Aston Business School and as a UK Government Advisor for SME growth at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Jeanette Carlsson began their education at the University of Copenhagen, also known as Københavns Universitet, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language, Literature & Social Sciences. Jeanette attended from 1985 to 1988.

After completing their Bachelor's degree, Jeanette Carlsson continued their education at UCL, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Economics. Jeanette studied at UCL from 1988 to 1992.

Later, in 2008, Jeanette Carlsson attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. This time, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Advanced Strategy. Their studies at Oxford lasted from 2008 to 2010.
