Jude Fernando (B.Sc., MSC, MA)

Jude Fernando has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Jude started their career as an Executive at Lanka Equities Private Limited, where they performed HR functions at both the factory and group levels. Jude then joined Nations Trust Bank PLC, where they developed the HR system from scratch and implemented innovative concepts in the Sri Lankan banking sector.

After that, Jude worked as a Consultant HR at Sierra Holdings Pvt. Ltd, focusing on developing the HR function, compensation, and business re-engineering. Jude later joined PCH PLC as the Senior Vice President - Group HR/ Admin/ Legal, where they played a key role in achieving numerous national and international awards for the company.

Jude's next role was Director/Head of HR at Bieco Link Carbons (Pvt) Limited, where they managed a multicultural workforce and led HR operations. Jude then became the Group Head of HR and Operations at AL Harib Group in Qatar, overseeing people management, people strategy, process re-engineering, and ISO certifications.

Currently, Jude is working as an HR Consultant/Manager at Tech One Global Ltd, focusing on talent management, people management, people strategy, and DevOps and Agile development environments for software development. With their extensive experience in HR and operations, Jude brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles.

Jude Fernando obtained a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Economics and Extension from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, between 1991 and 1995. Jude later pursued a Certificate in Environmental Studies from the same university, completing it from 1994 to 1995. Then, in 1996 to 1997, Jude attended the Phoenix College of Clothing, where they earned an Advanced Certificate in Apparel Manufacturing. Jude furthered their education at the Univesity of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka from 2002 to 2005, obtaining a Master of Science in Management. Lastly, Jude completed their Master of Arts degree in Labour Studies at the University of Colombo from 2008 to 2011.
