JOEL MÉNDEZ

Joel Méndez has a diverse work experience. JOEL is currently working as the Pre&Post Sales Manager for the Americas Region at Tech5.ai starting from March 2022. Before that, they worked at Gemalto (now Thales Digital Identity & Security) from 2017 to 2022, where they held multiple roles including Solution Manager LATAM, Solution Architect for the Biometric System Solution Team in NORAM, Solution Architect for the Biometrics Solution System Team, and Biometric Solutions Support Engineer. Prior to Gemalto, Joel worked at 3M Cogent as an identity management software developer from 2015 to 2017. Their earliest work experience was at IDT Consultores, where they worked as a software developer from 2012 to 2014.

Joel Méndez completed their education at the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a degree in Ingeniería with a field of study in Ciencias de la computación. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications. In December 2021, they achieved certification as a Perito en Dactiloscopia from AMEFF. In January 2021, they completed a Curso de Hacking Ético from Platzi. Furthermore, in October 2018, they finished a Curso Profesional de Java EE 2017 from Platzi. Most recently, in June 2022, they obtained a Curso de Docker certification, followed by a Curso de Bases Técnicas de Android certification in April 2022, both from Platzi.
