Justin Tanner

Justin Tanner is the current Director at TechBirmingham. Prior to that, they were the Executive Director at the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, Inc. from March 2017 to August 2017. From December 2015 to January 2017, Tanner was an Associate Director at the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency under President Obama. Justin also served as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Government Contracting & Business Development from April 2014 to November 2015 under President Obama. From January 2011 to March 2014, Tanner was the National Finance Committee--African-American Leadership Council Gen44 National Co-Chair at the Democratic National Committee. Justin was also a Legislative Analyst for Intergovernmental Affairs in the Executive Office of Mayor Kasim Reed from February 2010 to March 2014. Prior to that, Tanner was the Director of New Media for the 2010 Inaugural Planning Committee - Mayor-elect Kasim Reed from January 2010 to February 2010 and for Kasim Reed for Mayor, Inc. from January 2009 to January 2010.

Justin Tanner has a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a BBA in marketing from Howard University. Justin also has a certification in mentoring others from LinkedIn.
