Richard Smith is currently the Director of Event Programming at TechCrunch, a position held since 2018. Prior to this role, Richard served as the Director of Outreach and Communications at The Wilson Center from 2013 to 2018 and worked as a Senior Manager in Marketing, Branding, and Communications at NPR from 2008 to 2011. Richard's early career includes positions as a Public Relations Manager at the American Film Institute and a Publicist at Allied Integrated Marketing. Richard also gained experience as a Marketing and Publicity Assistant at HarperCollins Publishers. Additionally, Richard is presently pursuing education at the University of York.
