Rob Baum is currently the CEO at Techflow, but they have a long and varied history in the business world. Rob started their career in January 1991 as a Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young. There, they learned the ropes of the consulting business from three great mentors: Valerie Olbrick, Joe Healey, and Pat Garrett. From day one, Baum was fortunate to be taken under their wing and shown around the consulting world. Rob travelled the country helping companies with their IT needs focused on workflow, workgroups and outsourcing.
After two years at Ernst & Young, Baum took the opportunity to focus their attention with a small company and left Ernst & Young for an entrepreneurial company focused on leveraging technology to improve corporate workflow - DSSI. However, DSSI wasn't Baum's only venture into entrepreneurship. In February 2012, they became Managing Partner at Northern Getaways LLC, a small company focused on purchasing undervalued property assets in Northern Michigan, restoring them with investment, and reselling them at a profit. Baum was active in the evaluation and investment process but Northern Getaways shut its doors when the market turned around and deal flow halted.
In April 2011, Baum also became Managing Partner at RDG Enterprises LLC, a position they held until December 2016. RDG Enterprises LLC is a venture capital firm that specializes in investments in early stage companies. Baum has been very successful in their career, and their experience has taught him a lot about different areas of business. Rob is currently using their knowledge to help Techflow grow and succeed.
Rob Baum has a MBA in Finance & International Business from San Diego State University, as well as two BS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
