Michael Signer

Michael Signer serves as the North America Policy Director at Airbnb, leading campaigns across the U.S. since June 2022. Additionally, Michael is a Board Member at the Truman Center for National Policy and a Visiting Professor and Democracy Fellow at Reichman University. As a Charter Member of TechGC and a former Partner, VP, and General Counsel at WillowTree, Inc., Michael played a crucial role in the company's significant growth. Previously, Michael held the positions of City Councilor and Mayor of Charlottesville, where notable achievements included enhancing the city’s reputation for entrepreneurship and livability. Michael is the founder of Communities Overcoming Extremism and has taught at several academic institutions, including the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech. Michael holds degrees from Princeton University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Virginia School of Law.
