Scott Whalen

Scott Whalen is the General Counsel at Lessen, where they lead the Legal, Human Resources, Implementation, and Compliance groups, overseeing corporate governance, commercial contracts, and enterprise risk management. They serve on the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic counsel on M&A activity and companywide policymaking. Whalen is also a founding member of The L Suite, a peer community for Chief Legal Officers and General Counsels. Previously, they held the role of Vice President of Legal & Associate General Counsel at SMS Assist, and worked as an associate at BatesCarey LLP. Whalen earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Vanderbilt University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Notre Dame.
