Machine Learning Researcher at Techmo

Patrycja Świeczkowska's work experience begins in 2012 when they worked as a University lecturer at Adam Mickiewicz University, teaching Japanese grammar and writing systems to undergraduate students. Patrycja continued this role until 2015 as part of their PhD program.

In 2013, they worked as an Annotator on a project funded by an NCN grant, where they annotated gestures in videotaped conversations.

In 2016, Patrycja worked as an English teacher privately, a role they held until 2020.

Also in 2016, they began working as a Teaching assistant at Hokkai Gakuen University, where they stayed until 2020.

From 2018 to the present, Patrycja has been self-publishing and promoting their own creative writing under the role of Author at Zeszyty Maryny. Patrycja published their first novel in July 2021 and is currently working on a sequel.

From 2018 to 2020, they also served as an Intern in a research lab at RIKEN AIP, contributing by translating the annotation manual from Japanese to English for a research project on extracting chemical substance names from scientific papers.

In 2019, Patrycja worked as a Teaching assistant at Hokkaido University and co-organized the Polish tent at the Hokkaido University International Food Festival.

Most recently, in 2020, they joined Techmo as a Linguist/Programmer/Researcher, though specific end dates were not provided for this position.

Patrycja Świeczkowska pursued their education in various institutions and fields of study. Patrycja began their academic journey at ZS UMK Gimnazjum i Liceum Akademickie from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their high school education with no specified degree or field of study.

Patrycja then attended Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu from 2006 to 2007, studying English Studies. Following their time there, they returned to the same university and pursued a Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Japanese Studies from 2007 to 2010.

In 2010, Patrycja Świeczkowska briefly studied as a scholarship student at Tohoku University, specializing in Japanese Studies. Patrycja continued their education at Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, obtaining their Master's Degree (MA) in Japanese Studies from 2010 to 2012.

Patrycja proceeded to further their education at Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, focusing on Computational Linguistics. Patrycja Świeczkowska obtained their Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Computational Linguistics from 2012 to 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Patrycja Świeczkowska returned to Hokkaido University as a Research Student in the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Language Media Lab.

Patrycja continued their studies at Hokkaido University and earned their PhD in computer science from the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Language Media Lab from 2017 to 2020.

In 2020, they attended Hokkaido University once again as a Research Student in the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Language Media Lab.

In addition to their formal education, Patrycja Świeczkowska has acquired various certifications. Patrycja completed the Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning courses from Coursera in 2018. Moreover, they obtained several other certifications in 2020, including A Complete Reinforcement Learning System (Capstone), Reinforcement Learning Specialization, Prediction and Control with Function Approximation, Fundamentals of Reinforcement Learning, and Sample-based Learning Methods, all from Coursera.
