Madhuparna Roy has over 16 years of work experience in the medical and research field. Madhuparna is currently working as a Medical Writer at Technical Resources International, Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this, Madhuparna worked as a Research Associate at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from September 2019 to November 2022. Madhuparna also has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University from February 2014 to February 2019, where they investigated the molecular pathophysiology of trinucleotide repeat disorders and studied the role of mitochondrial dynamics in neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh from September 2012 to February 2014, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Iowa from 2006 to 2012, focusing on auditory mechanosensation and ion transport in inner ear function.
Madhuparna Roy has a strong educational background in the field of Biology. Madhuparna earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology from the University of Iowa, completing their studies from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Botany/Plant Biology at the University of Calcutta from 2001 to 2003. Madhuparna also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Botany/Plant Biology, which they obtained from Visva-Bharati between 1998 and 2001.
