Susan Muhr Leister

Vice President, Quality & Compliance at Technical Resources International

Susan Muhr Leister has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to quality assurance and compliance. Susan started their career in 1997 as a QC Shift Supervisor at Rhodia Inc., where they performed various laboratory analyses and implemented safety improvements.

In 2001, Susan joined McKesson Corp as an Analytical Scientist, where they conducted stability testing and method development projects. Susan also served as a Laboratory Supervisor, managing the construction and start-up of a microbiology laboratory, and as a Principal Investigator, overseeing a multimillion-dollar NIH drug repository and R&D laboratory contract.

In 2005, Susan joined BASi as a Director of BD, Client Services, & Recruiting, where they managed recruiting staff, increased the participant database, and served as a Project Manager for clinical studies.

Susan then moved to TraumaCure Inc. in 2006 as a Sr. Director QA/RA, where they built a Quality Management System and obtained ISO 13485 certification for medical devices.

In 2009, Susan took on a role as a Faculty member at the University of Phoenix.

Most recently, Susan served as the Vice President of Quality & Compliance at Technical Resources International, Inc., starting in 2018. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, building client quality programs and risk management programs, and leading regulatory agency inspections.

Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in building and maintaining quality management systems, and experience in regulatory inspections across various industries and organizations.

Susan Muhr Leister has a strong education background with a focus on business and management. Susan obtained a PhD in Organizational Management from Capella University, where they studied from 2002 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned an MBA in Business from the University of Phoenix, attending from 2000 to 2002. Susan also holds a BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Susan has obtained certifications as a Certified Quality Auditor and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society of Quality.
