Jorge Larez

Jorge Larez is an experienced risk and safety professional with a strong background in public safety and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as Manager of Risk Advisory at the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) since December 2007, Jorge Larez has contributed to the administration of the TSSA Act and the implementation of the Risk Informed Decision Making (RIDM) framework. Previous roles at TSSA include Senior Risk Advisor, where Jorge Larez led the development of quantitative safety risk assessment standards, and Public Safety Risk Advisor, focusing on Risk Safety Management Plans for propane sites. Prior to TSSA, Jorge Larez worked as a Risk & Safety Engineer at Dyadem International, providing bilingual training on process hazard analysis and risk software applications across various industries. Jorge Larez holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana and further education from the University of Delaware.
