Joseph (Joe) Pikas has over 57 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. Joseph (Joe) started their career in 1966 as a Senior Corrosion Engineer at Williams Gas Pipelines (Transco). In 2002, they moved to MATCOR, Inc. as Vice President of Operations, where they created their first Houston office and won several multi-million dollar contracts. In 2008, they were VP Pipeline Integrity at Mistras IMPro Technologies, heading up the pipeline and facility integrity group. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Corrosion Engineer at HDR, and from 2012 to present they have been a Technical Consultant and PL Engineering & Corrosion SME at Technical Toolboxes.

Joseph (Joe) Pikas attended Penn State University from 1962 to 1966, where they studied Civil. Joseph (Joe) then attended Ocean County College, where they studied EE. Joe has also obtained several certifications, including AMPP Lifetime Membership from the Association for Materials Protection and Performance in June 2022, CP4 - Cathodic Protection Specialist from AMPP Credentials in November 1987, Corrosion Specialist from AMPP Credentials in January 1978, NACE Cathodic Protection Specialist from NACE International, and NACE Corrosion Specialist from NACE International.
