Theocharis Tsoutsos, Prof. Dr., is a seasoned academic and leader in the field of environmental engineering with a long-standing tenure at the Technical University of Crete since October 1999, where Theocharis serves as a Professor, a member of the School Management Committee, Director of the Graduate Programme, and Head of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Lab. Dr. Tsoutsos has also held positions as an Adjunct Professor at the Cyprus Energy Agency and the University of Thessaly, and has contributed to various academic and professional organizations, including the Board of Directors at the Educational & Scientific Centre of the Panhellenic Society of Chemical Engineers. Their research and teaching focus have revolved around renewable energy economics and energy systems. Dr. Tsoutsos holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a degree in Economics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
