Cindy Libantino Norton is a Research Scientist III at the University of Arizona's Arizona Remote Sensing Center, focusing on R package methodology development for tree ring, LiDAR, and ground data fusion, as well as mapping woody vegetation species through the integration of hyper spectral and LiDAR data. In addition, Cindy monitors photovoltaic production data for Technicians for Sustainability by optimizing and automating data management processes using data science and information technology. Prior experiences include serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Arizona and completing internships with the National Park Service. Cindy holds a Ph.D. in Watershed Management and Ecohydrology, a Master of Science in Natural Resource Studies (Ecosystems Ecology), and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources/Conservation (Wildlife), all from the University of Arizona, along with an Associate of Science from Pima Community College.
