Jamal Akhtar

Jamal Akhtar is a seasoned quality control professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as a QC Supervisor for Subsea7 since August 2023. In this role, Jamal oversees quality control and supervision within the Saudi ARAMCO Offshore Field, responsible for document preparation, inspection processes, and pre-commissioning activities related to subsea cables. Prior experience includes a QC Supervisor position at Saipem and over a decade with Technip, where roles involved E&I inspection and supervision for various subsea projects. Jamal's background also includes positions at Saudi Aramco and other engineering firms, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in electrical and instrumentation quality control, particularly in offshore project settings. Jamal holds a diploma in Electrical Engineering from KCT Polytechnic, obtained from 1998 to 2002.
