Mauro Flores

CISO at Technisys

Mauro Flores is currently the CISO at Technisys. Prior to this, they were the Gerente Senior de Servicios de Ciberseguridad at Deloitte Uruguay from June 2005 to March 2019. In this role, they led the regional services of Deloitte's PKI/eID where they supported the practices of Latin America and the Caribbean in the definition and implementation of PKI infrastructure based on WebTrust standards as well as in the security review of these. Mauro also served as the regional CTO of Blockchain, participating in various projects, trainings and presentations on the technology.

Mauro has led more than 150 ethical hacking (Penetration Test) to the main financial and public institutions of the country based on OSSTM and ASVS standards. Mauro has led several forensic analyses and responses to security incidents for customers in the country and abroad. Mauro has also led more than 50 security review services and supported the application of ISO 27000, PCI-DSS and PA-DSS standards.

Mauro has led the implementation of prevention and monitoring services including the implementation of WAF technologies based on Mod Security and SIEM tools (AleinVault, QRadar and ArcSight) and their integration.

Mauro Flores has participated in many leadership and educational programs related to business and computer security. Mauro has given talks at various conferences on topics such as security and system administration. Mauro has also taken courses in computer technology and system administration at Peregrinus, Columbia Engineering, and Universis de la Republica (UdelaR).

Mauro Flores reports to Mike Santos, CEO. They are on a team with Michael Haney - Head of Digital Core, Beatriz Breccia - Chief of Legal, and Adrián Iglesias - COO.
