Engr Gulzar Ahmed Memon is a seasoned professional in electrical and mechanical engineering with extensive experience across various roles and organizations. Currently serving as Chairman at the South Asia Regional Standards Organisation (SARSO) since May 2017, Gulzar has also taken on a principal engineer role at Techno-Consult International, specializing in environmental compliance for USAID funded municipal services projects. Previous positions include Electro-Mechanical Engineer at Mott MacDonald and Chief Engineer at Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, where operational maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations was overseen. Educationally, Gulzar holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Sindh University Engineering College, completed in 1971, and has attained numerous professional designations including Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Pakistan and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
