Michael Zody

Michael Zody is a board member at Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania. Michael was previously the Vice President Public Safety at Lumen Technologies from November 2019 to April 2021. Michael was responsible for strategizing, establishing, and leading the new organization, including partnerships, personnel, training, technology, market segmentation, and sales, marketing, and service strategy. Michael also direct operations and revenue of $100M+ and worked with private and public sector clients nationwide.

Under Michael's leadership, Lumen Technologies was able to successfully collaborate on structuring the cloud-based, network platform and integrated security offering market differentiator. Michael was also influential in transitioning branding from 911 provider to NextGeneration911 services provider, securing margin of 30% and 25%+ share of the public safety telecommunications market. In addition, they led client acquisition and new vertical markets initiatives, growing revenue 14.4% in 2020; on track to achieve conservatively projected 11% growth in 2021.

Michael instituted Quarterly Business Reviews with key customer executives, identifying and developing strategies to meeting business needs and reducing customer churn to 1.08, one of the lowest corporation-wide. Michael was also able to build profit margin from 0% to 32%. Furthermore, they revamped the RFP process for State and Local Government and Education agencies and improved win rate from 0 to 3/3. Lastly, they built strategic alliances with Motorola, Intrado, MicroAutomation, Amazon Web Services, Cisco, RapidSOS, Synergem, Microsoft.
