Dr Shreekant Thakkar

Dr. Shreekant (Ticky) Thakkar is a distinguished leader in the field of secure systems and technology innovation, currently serving as the Chief Researcher at the Technology Innovation Institute's Secure Systems Research Centre since October 2019. With significant contributions in both academia and industry, Dr. Thakkar also holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at Khalifa University. Past roles include Chief Scientist and EVP of Engineering at a leading Cyber Security firm in the UAE, where advancements in secure smartphones were achieved, and pivotal leadership positions at major corporations such as Qualcomm, HP, and Intel, where innovative technologies and strategies were developed across various computing domains. Dr. Thakkar earned a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, following an MSc and BSc from the same institution and UCL, respectively.
