Erik Nijveld

Erik Nijveld has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Erik began their career in 1995 as a Research Fellow at Ecole des Mines de Paris, where they were responsible for developing a novel method for material characterisation of polymers. Erik then moved to Tata Steel in 1996 as a Research Engineer. In 1998, they joined Shell as a Technology Deployment Manager, where they created the "Technology Replication Thrust for Production Excellence" from scratch in 2011. Erik also held the positions of Technology Interface Manager, Technology Advisor, Technology Lead, and Research Engineer. In 2018, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of TechnologyCatalogue.com, which supports companies in finding, selecting, ranking and deploying the right technologies for their business.

Erik Nijveld obtained a M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente from 1989 to 1995. In 1997, they completed a course in Developing & Managing a Successful Technology & Product Strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Erik then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2003 to 2004. In 2017, they completed a course in Driving Strategic Innovation - Achieving High Performance Throughout the Value Chain from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
