Roel Bottema is a Senior Policy Researcher at Technopolis Group since January 2023, focusing on the evaluation and research of policies related to science, technology, and sustainability. Previously, Roel worked as a Policy Researcher at KplusV from May 2017 to December 2022, supporting governments in projects covering sustainability, finance, and social welfare. Other positions include Technical Advisor at Transcom, Policy Researcher at CAB Groningen, and Research Assistant at Pro Facto, where notable work involved counter-terrorism strategies and political structures in the Dutch Kingdom. Roel’s early experience includes roles at Baltic Gateway, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Committee SoAP, and Stichting Intraval. Education includes a Master of Science in Sociology, a Bachelor in Philosophy, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sociology, all from the University of Groningen.
