Allison Dejong

Allison DeJong, AICP, currently serves as a Planner and Policy Researcher at The Water Institute of the Gulf, where responsibilities include leading and supporting research on urban resilience and climate adaptation. DeJong has contributed to significant projects such as the Louisiana Climate Action Plan and the US Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Strategy. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Water Manager at Propeller, focusing on coastal restoration and urban water management, and as a Planner/Senior Planner at GCR Inc., where DeJong successfully managed applications for HUD's National Disaster Resilience Competition, securing over $240 million in funding. Earlier professional experience encompasses public policy coordination at Second Harvest Food Bank and development assistance at Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. DeJong holds an MBA from Louisiana State University and a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
