Paola Balconi

Paola Balconi has extensive experience in the field of layout engineering and electromechanical interface design for IC testing. Paola currently works at Technoprobe as a Probe Card Engineer, where they are responsible for conducting feasibility studies and driving the design team strategy. Their role also involves program management from design-in to manufacturing.

Before joining Technoprobe, Paola worked at SK hynix Italy s.r.l. for 8 years, from 2014 to 2022. During their time there, they served as the Layout Function Leader and Senior Layout Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for leading the layout function and ensuring efficient layout processes.

Prior to their work at SK hynix Italy s.r.l., Paola worked at companies such as STMicroelectronics, Micron Technology, and Numonyx in various layout engineering positions. Their responsibilities included layout design for flash memory chips, conducting checks using tools such as DRC, LVS, Antenna check, and XOR check, as well as final checks on devices.

Paola began their career at STMicroelectronics in 1992, starting as an operator and eventually becoming a supervisor. During this time, they gained experience in layout engineering for Nand and Nor flash memory, working on simple blocks and fullchip layouts.

Paola Balconi obtained a Diploma di Perito Elettronico Industriale from I.T.I.S. A. Einstein between 1986 and 1991. Later, in 2011 to 2012, they attended Paideia (Mi) where they earned a Diploma with a focus on Prodotti da forno e pasticceria/Fornaio/Chef pasticcere.
