Kevin Merritt is a technology-focused entrepreneur, angel investor and advisor based in Seattle, WA. Kevin has founded, led and successfully exited two venture-backed companies. Kevin is enrolled in the Viticulture & Enology program at the Northwest Wine Academy at South Seattle College, and is a harvest intern at the Kevin White Winery in Woodinville, WA. In 2020, they joined the Board of Directors of InnoVint, the world's leading wine production software company. In 2019, they became an advisor to Hazel Analytics, a Seattle-based company that uses data-driven approaches to help restaurants, grocers and food delivery companies ensure their food preparation and handling practices are safe and efficient. Kevin is also an angel investor and board member of TechSmart Inc., an EdTech startup that teaches kids to code, and an advisor and angel investor in First Due, a mission-driven startup in NYC focused on improving the safety and effectiveness of first responders. In 2019, they became an angel investor and board member of Sigma IQ, a startup focused on financial close management. From 2018 to 2020, they were Chief Evangelist and President of the Data & Insights Division at Tyler Technologies, a leading provider of end-to-end information management solutions and services for local governments. From 2007 to 2018, they were Founder, President & CEO of Socrata, a data-as-a-service platform and cloud applications exclusively for city, county, state, and federal government organizations. Since 2015, they have been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Data Foundation, the nation's first industry-focused open data research organization.

Kevin Merritt has an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science from Sierra College.
