Michael Malinak

Michael Malinak has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael has worked at TechSmith since 2002 and currently holds the position of Director, Engineering. Prior to this role, they served as Development Manager, Client Engineering and Solution Manager. In their role as Manager, Technical Product Management, Michael was responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of product development. Before joining TechSmith, they worked as a Startup Architect and Lead Developer in various capacities. Michael also has experience as a Product Lead Developer, Software Engineer, and Business Lead, where they led cross-functional teams in delivering products to the market. Michael's early career involved research work at Michigan State University as a Research Assistant and at IC Tech as a Multimedia Research Developer.

Michael Malinak completed their education in computer science with a BS degree from Michigan State University in 2000. Michael further pursued graduate coursework in computer science at the same university from 2000 to 2002. Prior to their time at Michigan State University, they studied computer information science at the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 1995 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained certifications in Camtasia from TechSmith Corporation in both 2018 and 2019.
