Christopher Couch

Christopher Couch has extensive experience in the automotive and materials industries, currently serving as President and CTO of Cooper Standard, where responsibilities include overseeing the Fluids business segment and driving technology leadership for all powertrains, including electric vehicles. Couch has also held senior roles at Cooper Standard, including SVP, Chief Technology and Procurement Officer, and played a pivotal role in the establishment of Liveline Technologies and the Midwest Materials Innovation Consortium. Previously, leadership positions included CTO at Lear Corporation and regional executive roles at Johnson Controls Inc., where Couch managed significant P&L responsibilities across the Asia-Pacific region. Early career experience includes various managerial positions at Toyota Motor Corporation, focusing on production engineering and corporate strategy. Educational credentials include a PhD in Operations Management with Finance, and MS and BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
