Elena Hansen

Elena Hansen, PhD, is an experienced language instructor with a strong background in teaching English, Russian, and French. Currently serving as an English/Russian/French Language Instructor at TechTrans International, Inc. since September 2003, Elena prepares and instructs astronauts and cosmonauts for joint crew language training related to the International Space Station's Emergency Procedures. Prior experience includes roles as an ESL Lecturer at Black Hawk College, where advanced intensive courses were taught, and as an Adjunct Professor at St. Ambrose University, focusing on Russian culture and French literature. Additionally, Elena served as an ESL Instructor at Marycrest International University, specializing in academic courses for Japanese students. Academic credentials include Master's degrees in English Language and Literature and Russian Language and Literature, along with a PhD in Russian and World Literature.
