Channa Patrick Pelpola

Channa Patrick Pelpola is an experienced professional in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership, currently serving as Regional Director of Community and Indigenous Affairs and Director of Sustainable Development at Teck Resources Limited since September 2013. Channa has a comprehensive background in managing sustainability initiatives across various multi-jurisdictional and multinational projects, including significant contributions to Teck's USD$5B Quebrada Blanca 2 Project. Prior roles include Manager of Environment and Community Affairs at Nyota Minerals (UK) Limited, Associate at Stantec, and Environment Manager for the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Channa holds a Master of Science in Fluvial Geomorphology from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental studies from Carleton University.
